Project Overview

The Roanoke-Chowan Community College gymnasium presented the acoustic challenges common in large venues: high room volume, hard walls and floor surfaces, exposed ceiling structure, and long reverberation decay that reduced intelligibility for lectures, assemblies, and events.

Project note: Reported project goal: reduce RT60 from approximately 3.9 seconds toward 2.7 seconds using distributed ceiling and wall absorption.
